Hey all! We are https://odysseytradinggroup.com

What personal information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you place an order, subscribe to our blog, respond to a survey or fill out a form. Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds.

  1. Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

  2. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  3. Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

  4. Contact Forms: Personal data captured for the purpose of a contact form will include the name and email address you provide as well as your IP address for the purpose of spam filtering. Contact form submissions will be kept for six months for the purpose of troubleshooting and follow ups. After six months, contact form submissions are deleted. We keep your data confidential and do not provide this information to anyone.

  5. Embedded Content From Other Sties: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

  6. Analytics: We use Squarespace Analytics to monitor and filter traffic such as spam and thwart threats to our site like brute-force hacking. They also help us keep track of how our overall site performance is (visitor counts, page views, downtime monitoring, security scanning, etc.) By using this analytics tool, Squarespace Analytics may collect data from you. You can view their Privacy Policy here.

Who We Share Your Data With: We share your data with those involved in the payment process for purchases made in our store and subscription plans purchased from your account (Stripe; their privacy policy can be found here). For obvious reasons, that data needs to be shared for services and products to be provided to the consumer. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
