Excess

Growing up 20 years ago was much different than now. For my 10th Birthday, my Parents got me 3 heifers. It was my Job to wake up every morning feed them, clean the Barn, literally feed them when they were young with a Baby bottle. I did it all, and then when it was Time they ended up in our Freezer. I didn’t get a Playstation, my parents got me a Job.

One thing I remember vividly is asking my Dad why he got 3. His response was, so if one dies, we still have 2. Within the first week of having them, 1 did die, the other 2 survived. What he said stuck with me, and still does to this day. At times with trading for instance, we take more Risks when we have Excess, and think if we lose X amount, its ok because we still have XX amount, so we hop into Riskier trades.

Having Excess at times can be detrimental in the beginning while learning, and setting Rules. I know a lot of traders that have funded accounts with large size, and slowly watched it dwindle down, and many traders to started small and have slowly built up. The reason is when you have little, you Protect it. You form rules, are more patient, wait for your setup, and cut quicker when wrong. Those Rules are important, and will stay with you as you Grow and start trading larger size!

Excess in Life can leave you careless in all things, because you have something to fall back on. I’ve always felt in order to Fully reach your potential you need to have your Back against the Wall first, and build off of that feeling!

As we said everyone who Completes the Challenge, will get some sweet Obsidian Gear along with the Obsidian Stones as a reminder everyday that you are ELITE, and the best version of Yourself! Obsidian Golf Outing:

Not going into too much Detail yet, but the Destination for our March Meetup will be Las Vegas March 15th - 18th. Sat/Sun dinners will be paid for, we will also have a few of us Speaking. But mostly having some fun. Golf will be at TPC Las Vegas. Hotel, Dinner Destination etc will follow.

Last Year we Ran a Lifetime Weekend, and will be doing the same this weekend for everyone. If you want to switch over send me a DM and well set it up!

Stock Market Thoughts:

Wild week in the markets with Price Action. At times it was hard to decipher it all. We were looking for August to be an inside Month, and are holding the 4374 level which is important. As long as this level holds, im expecting to Base and Sept push back upwards. Thoughts for this week are we see a push Mon/Tues, followed by a rejection on the Daily 21 Wed, but that rejection holds the 4414 and moves up from there.
